Problems with my new (secondhand) '87 320i Dashlights and headlight wipers

Just bought my car 2 days ago, 87000 miles on the clock, excellent condition. One problem I have is that the one of the dashboard lights do not work. I was wondering how to replace this. Also I have a the problem that my headlight wipers dont work....... any ideas on this one? All the fuses are fine, as well as the relays.
Also, if anyone has any other decent info on the 320i, please let me know, I want to know as much as possible about my new dream machine.
Would also like to know what the average mileage is on a tank of petrol.
Thanks.

About the mileage- my '85 325e got 23.8 miles per gallon last tank, all city driving on a 237,000 mile engine. You can probably expect better mileage than me; my right foot is pretty heavy.

I would check fuse again and replace it with another sometimes fuse may look good but is not or it may be a lamp behind the dashboard you will have to take the display out to replace if thats the problem. Headlight wipers?? mmm i didnt know bmw have those i know mercedes did anyway i think they are suppose to work after so many wipes of your windshield it will wipe your headlights after a couple of turns.
