Racing question

my 96 integra gsr is prety new to me and i was wondering if it would be bad to drop down into 4th from 5th going about 75 on the freeway?

he means a tachometer. and it shouldn't be bad at all for the car IMO

LOL. I used to have a b16-equipped '90 'Teg that was rev-limited to 10,000RPMs. I used to take second gear to 80-84MPH.

In an intense freeway race that started at 70 or so, I'd downshift to second.

4th to 5th at those speeds is fine. Your car stock should top off at about 120+ in 4th.

i don't but you do

A tachometer is what is used in HGV (heavy Goods Vehicles)

it records the speed and how long the vehicle is running. Police can tell if the drive hasn't taken the legal requirement of breaks or they can tell what speed they have been travelling

That is a Tachometer not a Rev Counter

u can drop it into 3rd EASILY. u'll hit redline about 84 in third.

get a new hondata ECU, build ur internals a bit, an rev to 10k...
