Smile I'm close to a sub 13 1/4

Got a 13.1 @ 109.5 with a 2.1 60' today @ Adelaide International Raceway

Full street trim on 13psi boost, 36psi in the rears, 3000rpm launch, spare wheel in the back & 3/4 of a tank of gas.

So I'm confident I can crack a high 12

Talking Thanks guys

Kabab,
I drop the clutch. Why only 3000?, well as today was my 2nd ever go @ drags on a strip I wasn't sure on how much I could drop it at (on the street any more than 2500-2700 & I go slower).
I really wanted to see how I'd go running it as do on the road any day of the week, hence the spare wheel/fuel load & 36psi.

I should've dropped the rear pressures, wound up the boost, & gave it 5000rpm of the line, but there's always next time

blacksky33,

Edit: included sig, to show mod's

I usually luanch at 3500-4000rpm and slip the clutch and the thing flies But you have much more power then me so it will probably kill your clutch more.

Kabab,
If I slip the clutch I fry it (still running a basic clutch set-up), I can probably get my 60' down to 1.9 (give or take) with a bit more practice/playing.

Bren,
Thanks mate

I have trouble launching my r33gtst always seem to get too much wheelspin... could be my tyres but i neva seem to get off the line quick enough
any suggestions on how to launch? I have the usual mods airfilter exaust and 10psi boost.

Bugalugs,
Thanks mate.
If I'd been thinking I would've posted a few days b4 the last run, but it was a spur of the moment thing, "Hmmm, hey the drags are on today I might go down & see how I go"

wil25t,
I'm still learning myself mate, it's just a matter of practice, try launching from low revs (~2000rpm) & work your way up till you only get a tiny bit of w/spin without bogging down. I find dumping the clutch works best for me.
Old hard rear tyres will make it really tricky to get away without excessive w/spin

Matt
