What's the best shock for the taco
I have the stock tokico shocks on my '01 4x4 and they are terrible. I'm thinking about buying bilsteins, but don't know if it's the best shock for this truck.

You should get RANCHO rs 9000 shockers. They have 9 point settings with optional in cab display. Best for 4wheelin.

Shock Problems
Well, I have heared a lot of nice things abount bilsteins, but I run on Procomp ES3000, and my friend runs on Procomp Mx6, and he loves the ride. Procomp should definitely be an option for you.

I've got bilsteins on my Taco & they are actually a bit too soft for me. They give a nice ride, but I drive hard & want something a little more stiff to control the big bumps. I run Procomp ES3000's on my "Monster" Jeep & they have handled 4+ Trails & crushing cars. I've been toying with putting a set on the rear of my Tacoma.

Shock Problem
I have heared that the Bilsteins are too soft on two separate occasions. I couldn't be happier with my es3000's. Go ahead, give procomp a shot, you won't regret it. If it's good enough for a massive jeep on 4X trails, why not a Tacoma. Is your Taco lifted? Mine is 3" and es3000 are perfect. Later.

Thats where the Rancho rs9000 would suit as you can adjust the shocks for different handling situations on road or off road.
