which are the best shocks for g20
Hello I am considering purchasing shocks for my g20. I just want to change the front shocks for now (I am keeping the OEM springs). I am looking to also keep a stock height/ride. I have looked at the following options:
Koni 8040-1127 KYB GR-2 others?? Which would be the best shock and the one to last the longest? I would like the shock to also last the longest possible time. I heard some people saying that the KYB's don't last that long? In any case, which brand should I select? Thanks before hand, RobRod |

I'm don't believe that's true, I have a set that I have had for over 6months now that I have not installed. I have heard the same thing if the GR-2's are matched with lowering springs. They're the cheapest and the ride is a little more firm than stock. This is what I am told to expect.

Re: which are the best shocks for g20
Why get fancy. Go to Autozone or equivalent. Your basic $20 shock will serve you well. Monroe, Ryder, etc. makes a middle of the road shock that are durable and provide good suspension control and ride.
All manufacturers occasionally produce products that fail. Some more than others. A good shock will provide resistance in both directions of travel, not just during spring rebound. |

A $20 shock will NOT last.....dont even buy the GR-2's if you are going to get AGX's......the best shock for the money HANDS down would be AGX's just get them.....
