AX4N problem

Hello,

I have a Taurus LX 97 equiped with AX4N.

When the car is Cold (when turned off for at least 6 hours), and i try to move from P to R or D, that car will Stall immediately.

Doesnt matter how many times i try, all of then will Stall the engine.

After 5-10 minutes, when the engine is a little worm, if i try again, i'll be able to select a gear, but the car will RUN too much without any accelerator press. it goes about 25mph, changing gears from 1 to 3, again, without any aceleration press.

After 15 - 20 minutes, the car will not run anymore, and if i turn it off and on again, it will not stall when i select a gear.

If i stop it for 2 3 or even 4 hours, it will not stall the engine, since the engine and the AX4N are still hot.

But after a long period it will happen again.

After the initial 20 minutes, the car will work perfectly, changing all gears, with no problens, no noise. It will only Flash the Over Drive lamp a few times. The lamp flashs for 10 mintues then it stops.... later it flashs again for 5 minutes..... Sometimes it doesnt flash...

Any idea?

I changed the "banner kit" but i'm still with the same problem.

I'm not in USA. I'm in a tropical country, where the temperature is over 100f in the hot days, and in cold days never less then 60f

Any clues?

Thank you Very much.

ATF fluid change?

96 GL, 128000 mi.

the ATF was changed last may by the previous owner (Dunno if the filter was changed), and have done approx 9kmiles since then.

Do I have to change it now. No issues with the trans.

If I change, any specifc AFT fluid recommended for this old trans. I was looking at valvoline max life..

and the shops that charge like80 bucks for ATF fluid change, does that include torque convertor flush too?? Is it recomended to change the fluid in that??

pl. reply.
