Not a Ford. Was driven by a famous WWI flying ace.

Re: WIP - Name that car

I would say one of Eddie Rickenbacker's drives then, but the tail end shape is wrong for his most famous drive unless you're still working on the tail in which case I would go with a Blitzen Benz.

It's a Rickenbacker drive but not the Blitzen Benz.

Re: WIP - Name that car

That would leave it as either a Mason or a Columbus if I have the era correct (pre-1914).

Either way, a unique and interesting subject.

Re: WIP - Name that car

Mason is right as I have not added the identifying feature, an outside exhaust, of what the model will be - a 1914 Duesenberg, as driven by Eddie Rickenbacker.

Re: WIP - Name that car

Update - looks like a Duesenberg now that the exhaust is on. I plan on being finished for this coming weekend's Simpsonville, S.C, show.

With any luck I will get to see it at the show then (provided I get home in time)

The 1914 Duesenberg, Eddie Rickenbacker car, is finished and ready for the Simpsonville 500 this weekend.

Re: WIP - Name that car

I attended the Simpsonville show this past weekend. There were a bit over 400 car models there, and of uniformly high quality. The 5 ACME members brought about 35 models. The Duesenberg took 2nd in open wheel competition.
