why is it that somebody has to be 'responsible' for everything thesedays? When you are turning away keen and impressionable youngsters who are giving their free time to help with something that motivates them,is it any wonder that kids lose interest in their community?Surely a petting zoo is not a hazardous place? If it is too dangerous for children to be in an enclosure with rabbits and gerbils, maybe the people responsible can further evade any requirement to take on additional responsibility by closing the zoo all together. After all,if these kids are at risk when helping under the supervision of zoo staff, imagine how dangerous it would be for them to visit the zoo unsupervised.!

How pathetic "be careful, that guinea pig might take your arm off, and those ducks have a bit of a mean streak in them if you get too close, could lose an appendage." Let the kids help, all it can do is help their love for animals and increase the chances of them leading a better life(such as staying away from harmful things, yeah, sounds cheesy I know).
