Lamborghini LP500S 1/12

I am building the Duyosha kit as an LP400 with LP500S Wheels. I think the car looks better without the wide wheelarches.

The inspiration....

This is what I have done so far, the interior is almost done also.

Neat to see another one being built! Wild color too. Did you paint the Lamborghini script? Looks good!

The script on the engine was painted, then I decided to paint them black instead.

I also sanded off all the emblems, thinking there was a photoetchted set avaliable for this kit. I am sure that I have seen it somwhere.....

Re: Lamborghini LP500S 1/12

Now I am finished with the interior and chassis so now I begin with the body.

Its my first time with flocking, and I think it was pain to get it right.... It took a looong time of try and fail before I got this result witch is almost ok....ish

and I am quite happy with the "stance" of the car, witch I achieved by cutting the springs until I was happy....

Re: Lamborghini LP500S 1/12

Looks good! I had a tough time getting the flocking to look good in mine also. I decided that I wasn't putting the glue down thick enough. How did you do the gauge markings and controls on center console? Are they painted? The stance looks fantastic! Do you know how much you cut? I was thinking of doing this also...

Thanks!

The gauges and centerconsole markings are handpainted. I cut 2 turns off.

Re: Lamborghini LP500S 1/12

This looks fantastic! Love the lights! What did you use? I was considering this on my last build but decided not to. After seeing yours, maybe I should give it a go on the one I'm building now...really looks great!
