cold weather starts,then stops

98,2.2,very cold weath,starts for two seconds then stops.immediate cranking or gas pedal doesn't help .once climate warms up some ,car starts fine and runs great.snap on codes say coolent issue or anti theift,but all checks out good with cooling and theift never makes a sound.no check engine light.on other problems,not even any leaks or rattles,255,000mls.

What error code is being displayed?

If the code is for a coolant temperature sensor that might be significant.

Check for a B2958 or B2960.....not all code readers/scanners can read "B" codes....
