Fastest 1/4 mile times for Sega GT 2002

What is your fastest 1/4 time?

I've gotten an 8.180 with the Ford GT Concept car. Thats crossing the line in 6th gear.

10.39 in the GT 40, but I haven't gotten too far into the game.

Ok, I must admit, that was starting in 6th gear, for traction purposes, and dropping to 3rd when the tach drops to around ~2000-2500rpm. If I start in 1st gear, I've gotten it to run an 8.9xx ...

I've gotten the TT Supra down to a 9.1
Skyline R34 down to a 9.080
Lancer Evo VI down to a 9.181
Mustang GT390 9.010


I think that's all that I have right now. Racing tires, Racing intercooler, and Racing brakes are unlocked. Everything else is what you can get when you start.

i got that Tipo 39/11 or wut ever it is down to 8.8. it is only 600hp too!!!!

I sold that car, without modding it for just under 800K .... Probably should have kept it.

yea, I went to put it up for sale, and it was like 376K or something, so i just added 4 to the first digit, and it sold in like two days ... the only problem is, I don't think you can get it again .. most of the cars you win, you can't buy anywhere ... I might have to start over, and not sell any cars ... I don't even know how many cars the garage will hold.

I've finished the 1st season on the official races, that gives you the SS license. I've won the charger and chevelle from the drag races, and I've won a few of the event races. 5 or 6 of them. I think I've got about 10 cars right now, but like I said, I might start over, and not sell any of the cars that I win.

Ok i have beat the game and have a gt-40 fully momded with nos and i run a 7.6 in the 1/4 thast the best time i have ever done.

Man, with all the upgrades, thats the best it can muster? Without the nitrous, I've gotten mine down to an 8.0 ... Was that starting in 1st gear, or the final gear? I've found that starting in a vehicles final gear, makes it get off the line quicker. Usually .5 to a full second quicker in the 1/4.

The only upgrades I have unlocked are the racing tires, super racing intercooler, and super racing muffler. everything else is still what you can purchase from the beginning of the game. I know most of the vehicles I have suffer from severe lack of traction.

These are the cars currently in my garage ... the super seven is good for road racing, as it sticks in the corners. It only makes about 280hp maxxed out.

i ran an 8.4 with the GT concept.

in the 1/4 mile i got a 7.548 and that is the very fastest that i have ever heard of in sega gt 2002 it was done with the ford concept gt with 850 hp we used simple tricks that if you look on the net you can easily find

see if you can beat it

i love sega gt and i think its the best but i've never played gran turismo. i keep restarting and found a good trick: start off with the toyota levin and use the left over cash to by tires, brakes, and suspension in the used parts shop.....then race in the 70's battle and win and you get an old jag worth $15000.....then you can win the special price easily by doing this- come across start finish line 5th and then win the race or come across 6th and finish 2nd or 1st, this works to win any special prize.....the special prize for the 70's battle is a toyota celica rally edition worth $21500. If you sell these off and run a few more races you can have a $40000 car in like ten minutes.
