Question throttle stuck

klooking to buy a 99 Taurus with 140000 miles in it one problem only car while in driv.or park suddenly idles it self high have to park it and let it self idle down. any ideas what it might be

Start with a clean Air filter, MAF sensor, IAC, and throttle body.

i could be a throtle position sensor going bad
