NO blower 2004 GTP

My blower stop working. Last year it wouldn't turn off so we replaced the resistor added a capacitor per GM and it worked okay....there was a slight delay when I turned on blower but i just thought it was the added capacitor.
8months later and no air....
1. unhooked harass from blower tested voltage it was fine
2. checked fuse they fine
3. turned on air hit the blower with a malit it didn't come on
4. hooked up to computer and the codes were b0268 air flow control 7 circuit blend door actuator heater ventilation air conditioner control head
b0269 airflow control 7 circuit range.

But when I turn the knob to turn on the air I can hear a slight click like it is turning on the air and not the blower. On my way in to work the tire gauge comes on I pull over and nothing was flat, the TAC lights came on, yesterday the check gas cap light came on, now if I put gas from Krogers I get the check gas cap light then check engine light will stay on for a few days but I didn't use Krogers.

Re: NO blower 2004 GTP

Definitely sounds like gremlins!

No blower......you say you have power......did you use a voltmeter or a test light? Test light should be used.....If you have power with a test light, and the connections in the harness and the motor connection are ok, you need a blower....

When you filled up with gas, was the car running? If not, could have bad cap, could be rust on the filler pipe where the seal of the cap mates, OR you have a real small leak that has nothing to do with the cap.....

The TRAC light will come on with a low tire signal......did you check that all tires were the same pressure? Did you recently add air to a tire? Is one tire worn more than the others? If ok, reset the tire light and see if that solves your problem...

Now that you mention it the car was running....what does that mean?

I have not done anything to the tires i'll check the pressure later today.
What about the codes? b0268 b0269

Re: NO blower 2004 GTP

You mentioned water in blower in your sig, did you check for any corroded connections? Also the fix for the water leak is this part from GM 15212454 Deflector water plenum.

The water in blower was fixed along time ago......

Does these codes mean anything?

Angry Re: NO blower 2004 GTP update

The blower motor is shot. I purchase a new one... plugged in the new one before mounting it and guess what the blower was going without the car being started or even in the on position. The last time this happened it was the modular which I just replaced and add the capacitor per GM instruction. I can't believe this BS I am back to where I started.

Re: NO blower 2004 GTP

So, this is an auto temp system that uses a blower control module rather than a resistor block......

One thing to try: Key out of the ignition, remove the neg bat cable first and then the positive one......now take the two cables and connect them together with a jumper cable or just hold them together for a few minutes......then since you have them apart, clean any corrosion on the cables/bolts....then install the pos first and then the negative......If your blower is running without the system being on, either the blower module has to be replaced, or the "B" codes have to be cleared first....

If you turn the sytem on with car running, are you able to manually vary the speed of the blower, but it won't shut off?

It is the module again.........this is what happened before the blower would not shut off when the car was turned off it stayed on and was blowing on high....to answer your question I have no control over the speed of the blower it is on high all the time........The instruction you gave was that to clear the code?...btw just purchased a new battery a few weeks ago so no corrosion thanks for looking out!
