Just found this site surfing for a cold air intake for my 2004 gtp comp G, also read about people asking what can a GP beat, I have beaten a
SLK mercedes, Mustang GT (2003), a Mach 1 mustang 2003 (no Sh**) almost every neon with a fat pipe in this town 2004 Aucura TL I think this car can beat any V-6 made (stock) and any V-8 up to 330hp. My budy has the mach 1, he took off, and I stayed in his a** until I had to slow down from ramming him. Anyway, where can a get a cold air intake for this car?

cold air induction
this site has alot of available parts for our fun little rice killers
www.pfyc.com you might want to consider a ram air induction as well you get more horse power but it can be a little pricey. one question though how do you like the paddle shifting in your comp g |

The Ram Air has been proven not to do anything on our cars since there is no way to force more air into the manifold than they blower will allow, if it was a NA engine that would be the case...
pfyc is a great store to buy from as well, check them out, enjoy the CompG, fun huh? lol check out www.clubgp.com lots of 04 info.. |

It will just have to go towards that intercooler I have had my eye on but explaining to the wife why I need cooler air in the combustion chamber is posing a problem

Re: Got a 2004 GTP Comp G
go for the thrasher intercooler or the MAP engineered one, the others don't work very well. and dont offer fuel routing solutions...

I was looking at the MAP intercooler. It seems like the one to go with

Re: Got a 2004 GTP Comp G
the MAP is definitely the one to go with, they are modeling one for my 04, our sc's are different..

Well I read if you get a chip from the gio...something company, you can bypass the GP's computer systems that adjust to a ram air/cold air system. They say after 200 miles, the car adjust to the cold air intake and just let less air in.
First mods are: pulley pulley belts muffler/pipes (cosmetic) intercooler in 2004 esp. since I am moving from colorado to Texas, Florida or AZ dont know yet. |

a chip?? I have no knowledge of any type of software upgrade for an 04 GTP, tell me more
![]() ram air doesn't work, it's just cold air, but there is no way to force the air into the manifold past the blower. You'll see, HP means nothing, the maxima's are not very good competition, but then again i don't remember my car when it was stock, I had mods waiting at home for it when i bought it lol |
