Lamborghini Countach LP 500S Walter Wolf, 1:24 Fujimi

New project. This kit is vast! Unfortunately, the quality isn't very sexy, so there's going to be loads of work with fitting parts, especially, doors, hoods, lights and other. I've already started some of the works and immediately was struck by panel holes. I think, the passanger side will be pernamently shut - I'd like to have a flawless body line rather than an opening door. I'll try to make the rest movable.

As far as the looks go, this is the base for the model:

Re: Lamborghini Countach LP 500S Walter Wolf, 1:24 Fujimi

I've managed to push the project forwards. So far, apart from doors that didn't want to fit, things have been going rather smoothly. There was an issue with the front bumber (fujimi must have run out of plastic while they were doing this particular kit).

Bumper problem

I've decided to put some life into the back engine cover.

Hot blade was the weapon I've used to do it.

I don't have huge funds for adds for the model but you can find some interesting stuff in, for example, a flower shop. Here some black ribbon that I'm going to use as a mesh.

Lights

Held by not much more but air - I think the final effect (with proper mountings) should look better

Still, loads of stuff to do with BW.

cheers

Good job so far! After seeing your previous works I'm sure that this will be an absolutely stunning build. Good luck with the wheel arches(that's probably the most difficult part to get right on this kit)

Re: Lamborghini Countach LP 500S Walter Wolf, 1:24 Fujimi

Thnx for the comments guys.

Here's what's been going on with countach

The whole thing got base and clear coats:

I was thinking what to do with these black panels over wheel arches -leave them shiny or put some satin varnish. After seeing some movies with the red Countach, I've decided to leave them shiny.

Then came the decals, another layer of clear coat, and 2500 sandpaper

Some black details

And now I'm beginnig the polishing process. By the look of things, it's going to be quite time consuming....

cheers

I'm still struggling with the bodywork...

Of course, both lights go up, one doesn't stay in open position - i'll deal with it later.

cheers.

Few more details...

The wing hasn't been attached yet. The whole car has been quite obviously spoiled by a thick layer of clear coat. Can't do much about it right now, but I've decided to finish it anyway.

Because the paint job hasn't been exactly what i've expected, I'm not going to bother with detailing the engine too much. Basic cables, + some extra hoses and that's it.

Yeah, sry for that. Have been posting pics on several other forums and it seems i've overdone it. PB say pics will be back in a few days, when my limit resets.

New account and some pics:

Another up. There's a lot of things thet need improving but the biggest problem, by far, is fitting the body to the rest of the car - very, very stressful. I've hidden front wheels a bit further in. Rear seem to fit nicely.

Re: Lamborghini Countach LP 500S Walter Wolf, 1:24 Fujimi

Since there's not much interest in this thread i'm forced to post new msgs under my old ones.

So there's the last few pics before the finish. Putting the body on the lower part of the car was one of the most stressful operations ever. Both parts bent considerably and were about to let go but, fortunatelly, they didn't.

cheers
