Cool Buying used that hasn't been driven for 1 year

Hi, I'm considering buying a used 1995 Chevy S-10 truck. The owner died two years ago and the truck has only been started a couple of times since then. It looks in good shape but are there problems I should be looking for in a truck that hasn't moved in two years ? It has low mileage and seems to be a good deal.

Thanks in advance for any input.

The first thing that came to mind was flatspots that can occur when a vehicle that is parked for long period of time without driving it and it will produce a noticeable thump each time the tire flat make contact with the road surface.

Besides that, if you like the test drive simply take it for an independent mechanical inspection to secure your investment.

My main concern was that approx 20 years ago I bought a dodge with 28000 on the clock, had been driven by an old man and it had been sitting for 2 years also. 1 month after I bought it the transmission went, so I'm wondering if it's because it had sat for two years or just bad luck.
