Hi i have a 2001 Chevy Malibu 3.1L V6, i recently have been having problems with coolant spraying out of the overflow tube on the top of the coolant bottle. I did a compression test and all cylinders are equal at 100. the intake manifold gasket was also changed recently.

Re: 2001 Chevy Malibu Overflow Tube
Do you have a slight misfire at startup? If yes, I would be checking for coolant in cylinder #1....if you have a good radiator/reservoir cap, sounds like a head gasket....

Re: 2001 Chevy Malibu Overflow Tube
If you would have read that correctly you would've noticed i said the compression test was 100 in every single cylinder. All the coolant is shooting out the overflow tube on the coolant bottle

Re: 2001 Chevy Malibu Overflow Tube
Pretty sharp reply there, IT. So let's all be precise and pay attention. You didn't "say" it was 100. you "wrote" it. And also, is it spraying or shooting out?
