A rather.. Specific question about wheels.

Does anybody know if Toyota GT-One wheels and tyres will fit on the WRC Impreza (98 or 99.. they both practically the same) without any or much modification? Trying to save myself some money on wheels here and I've just ordered the Impreza so I can't test it myself.

Thank you
- Tomo

Re: A rather.. Specific question about wheels.

They may fit but sincerely LM wheels on a WRC, not sure it's a good idea, there is inevitably some differences, main one is center or lug nuts lock...
What is your problem exactly ? don't you want to use the Subaru wheels ?

Nah I'm not making it a WRC car you see, I'm just using the WRC as the base car. The wheels will be modified to look to be for road use, I just needed to know if they fit

Re: A rather.. Specific question about wheels.

iirc the overall height of the lm rims and tires will be higher than the wrc ones. you might need to modify the fenders and the suspension to make the car sit lower now that you have a higher rim&tire on it. it might not sit as high though if you use only the lm rim and then force the wrc's tire to fit the lm rims.

*edit*

oh wait. according to mulsannescorner (http://www.mulsannescorner.com/ToyotaGT-One.html), the actual lm rim's size is 18", so that shouldn't be a problem with ride height if you use the wrc's tire.
