Replacing broken shift mechanism

I have a 2000 Yukon Denali. The steering column shift mechanism is broken where it mounts. I'm trying to remove it so that I can replace it but I don't know how to remove the cable that goes from the shifter to the ignition cylinder. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Replacing broken shift mechanism

nvm I figured it out. There was a little release tab that I couldn't see earlier.
