1967 Chevy 3/4 Ton Pics.

Greetings fellow gearheads.

I am just putting up my first thread ever! The topic? My new bad a s s 1967 Chevy 3/4 ton truck! It is a relic. Rust in the usual places, but it came with the sheet metal to replace them. New lenses all the way around, 385 sb, auto. The holley carb needs to be dialed in and it has lots of oil pressure. Its trying to get out the M/T valve covers! Anyway, I'm posting some pics and letting the world enjoy.

Re: 1967 Chevy 3/4 Ton Pics.

Thanks Ozzy! I'm researching all the things someone has put into it. This morning I discovered the Holley is a 4150 Vac secondary with no float bowl sights. Why would they do that? It runs but needs to be dialed in, and without floats sights how do I tell what the fuel level in the bowls is? Trial and error I'm sure.

I'll keep you posted.

Re: 1967 Chevy 3/4 Ton Pics.

Ozzy,

Thanks a heap! That's the adjustment manual I was looking for!

After I got home and put a fresh set of plugs in, it decided to behave itself and is running flawlessly! The guy I got it from swung by and he told me everything he remembered about the build:

350, .040 over (thats what the pistons said), 400 crank, heads have 1.94 int and 1.5 exhaust, cam has a mild grind.

I'm excited! Its a runner!

Oldblu, I never got your PM. Sorry.

I'll keep you posted on the carb tuning next!

Thanks!
