Stalls in Park and struggles sometime in drive
Need some help here. My daughter's car (1993 Lebaron) runs fine but it has two problems. One: while driving it will jurk or shutter (even when on cruse control) and it doesn't seem to matter at what speed. And the second: When the car is placed in park, it shuts itself off. It always starts right back up and never has stopped any other time. (although during the shuttering it seems to be struggling to get the gas it needs.) Any suggestions? Thanks

If you think it's a fuel supply issue, borrow a fuel pressure test kit from a local parts store and check it against spec. Additionally, does the car spit out any code other than 55 when you do the KOEO(Key On Engine Off) routine? Sequence is On Off On Off On and wait for the CEL to blink the code.

It could be many things. Has she maintained the vehicle well? Such things as fuel filters, plugs and plug wires etc. Check for vacuum leaks as well. Check for codes and let us know, by the way 12 and 55 are normal and not to be counted.
