Hyundai Resale Value Improving?

Hi all,

My top pick for new car is the upcoming 2013 Elantra GT (recent winner of car of the year in the UK, where it's known as the 2012 Hyundai i30 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6WDrp...e_gdata_player) .

Only thing stopping me is Hyundai's history of poor resale value. With the newly designed 2012 Elantra (also NA car of the year) and most all other Hyundai's in the line up going through major improvements in quality, however, I wonder if this will change.

Appreciate any thoughts.

Re: Hyundai Resale Value Improving?

You asked for thoughts so please don't be offended with my 2 cent worth.

Hyundai in the 80's 90's was total garbage,,, today Hyundai got some market share due to price and an excellent warranty program,,, but when you enter the strech for home will still finish last along with Kia and Chrysler.

On the other hand if re-sale don't come into play,,, I can't knock it

Quality choice today by most consumers is German - Japanese. personally I favor domestic with Ford having some models giving you the best value for bucks,,, and re-sale just being one if you want to compare to Korean cars

If you think Dealers and salespeople are the # 1 scum in the industry - think again

Maybe soon gas stations will start showing PORN movies on the
screens of the pumps
so that you can watch someone else get screwed
simultaneously

Re: Hyundai Resale Value Improving?

When someone buy brand new car he/she don’t go on their resale value. They want that the car for their own shake and interest but still their resale values has increased a lot in these years according to previous years .If you are willing to buy Hyundai car and its resale value is stopping you from buying it then don’t go on it resale value it has other quality too which other car won’t beat it in that..
