ALPS printer water slide decal paper

Can anyone direct me where I can buy good decal paper for use with an ALPS printer? I tried searching through the forums but come up with outdated links or other dead ends (i.e. Tango Papa doesn't return my phone calls). I'm a bit iffy on Bel-Decals when I read the latest reviews. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Re: ALPS printer water slide decal paper

In the UK there's an ace supplier of all kinds of decal paper:
www.craftycomputerpaper.co.uk
They ship worldwide.
You can buy single sheets, but packs of 10 A4 sheets are a bargain and they'll last you ages.
Roy.

Re: ALPS printer water slide decal paper

Years ago I purchase a bulk stock (100 of each) of white and clear decal paper on this site so cimply named http://www.decalpaper.com/
Have been satisified of the product, bought for a inkjet use purpose.
I've customed and decorated some of my Lego Minifigs and of course also use for some car models, mainly rally plates or so.
You may find in the first pages a thread by someone offering to print ALPS decals, maybe you should contact him if precisely looking for ALPS decals informations.

Re: ALPS printer water slide decal paper

I've been running a printing service earlier (with Alps MD and Kodak printer) and I have mainly used Tango Papa paper and been very happy with it's quality, and price too.
It's too bad that if Tom doesn't sell his paper anymore, at least his website is still working and updated last in last january? Last time I ordered from Tango Papa in september, it took 1,5 months to get paper because Tom replied mails slowly and he had no paper in stock at first, but got it more later. Dunno, maybe he has lost his inspiration with paper business?

I have also used Papilio's Perga Flat paper with great success, but couldn't find their Perga Flat paper anymore as available, maybe their laser paper works?

Bare Metal decalpaper is also good stuff for ALPS, but more expensive compared to those which I mentioned above.

I don't know if you're familiar with ALPS Yahoo groups (most likely you're...) but there is several links of paper suppliers:

Re: ALPS printer water slide decal paper

I have used Bel Decal and I will never use it again.
I contacted with Tango Papa and there will be no problem to send me decal paper to Spain, everything was perfect with him and the paper works great!!

ALPS MD printer, here's such a good information site:

http://robdebie.home.xs4all.nl/models/decals.htm

There's other brands too, like Oki, Kodak, Roland, Citizen but they use same microdry technology. Too bad that there are no other relatively cheap printers which can print white, md-printers are getting old...

I must say that I've been very happy with Tango Papa's service earlier, been very fast and friendly. Just the latest transaction went slowly, although everything went finally well.
