Re: 2000 Taurus trans concerns

You mention there is transmission fluid in the car, is the fluid in good shape at at the correct level when checked with the engine warm and the car idling in Park?

Are you sure it's a transmission hesitation and not a misfire or something else?

No its no misfire its a hesitation doesnt really slip as much as shifts late.Ill check the fluid one more time.It does have a little leak but granted if it has fluid at the time it should be good.

Only if the majority of the fluid it has is in good condition and has the correct additive package. If the fluid is burned, degraded, or the wrong type for the transmission it can still cause shifting concerns, even when filled to the proper level.
