Taurus X Concerns?

I am looking for feedback on the Taurus X. I am having issues with the steering and wish to see if anyone else is experiencing the same issue. I have a 2008 taurus x, and it seems to "float" all over the road. Anyone having the same problem???

Re: Taurus X Concerns?

Has it always done this since you've owned it, or is it a recent development? Is it on any section of road, or only certain roads? Have you checked the tire pressures to make sure they are per the door sticker? Have you checked the front end for any loose parts?

Re: Taurus X Concerns?

That sounds like a front end out-of-alignment, like its pidgeon toed. Doesn't it, Rod? Depending on how long it's been that way, excessive wear will occur on the inside part of the tire tread and will be obvious. If this started recently, I'd go along with what Rod said. I don't think you would have wandering problems from this, but I know some tires will cause alignment like issues, like strong pull to one side that vanishes when the old tires are replaced.
