2009 Silverado cruise control problem
Hello all. Have a co-workers son that has a 2009 Chevy silverado. Lately the truck starts to accelerate by itself,(no not Toyota powered) hard enough to cause it to break the rear tires loose(wet pavement), but still enough to scare him. Was just cruising down the highway and just accelerated all by itself. Has happened a couple of time recently(to his bride also). anyone else had this problem or know of a cure. Dealer could find no problem--thanks for help

I'm sorry to hear about this concern with the Silverado. If your coworker or his son were interested in getting a Service Request set up with us, which would enable us to interact with him and the dealership to try to move towards diagnosing and hopefully resolving this, I would direct him to give the Chevrolet Customer Assistance Center a call at 800-222-1020 (Hours: Mon to Sat, 8am to 9pm EST; Closed Sunday).
