WIP Tamiya Supra Single Turbo

Heres my Supra Im working on.

So, this is my first real project after MANY years of not doing this stuff. Its also my first real foray into scratch building, so any comments and criticism is welcome.

This is the wheels I chose. Hobby Design Advan RZs with some Pegasus hobby 19in Ultra lopros. Love the concave look. Im going for a racer/ street car, pure function with some clean looks. Not sure if I plan to modify the body yet, if I do it will be simple since Im concerned about messing up the kit with my lack of experience.

Heres some shots of the turbo manifold, turbo, intake, and mock ups. Exhaust manifold is solder. Turbo is tree from the kit. Intake is a combo of aluminum rod, brass rod, and styrene.

Im thinking of redoing the turbo (again) using some miniputt (putty).

Heres the intake:

The intake is a WIP, I still need to fill in the end, build the throttle body, etc. But, this is the basic design. Again, kept it simple since Im VERY new to this stuff.

Heres the engine mock up:

And, lastly here is the wheels mocked up. The rear suspension is complete. The HD wheels take alot of modifying to make work, as Im sure most of you know. So, next will come the front suspension. Thats all I have so far. Thanks for looking.

Those rims look boss and nice work on fabricating the engine parts! You planning to fully plumb the engine as well?

Yea, I plan to fully plumb the engine. Intercooler, brake lines, fuel lines, etc.

Re: WIP Tamiya Supra Single Turbo

Heres a small update. Got the valve cover finalized, plumbing for the catchcan in place, down pipe and heat wrap done, pulleys and what not on and detailed. The motor is almost done, just need to do the intercooler and plumb it. Also a mockup of the seats. Should they sit a little higher? (they are in primer, btw. Color will be flat blue or black, havent decided yet)
