03 Impala LS not starting

Hello,
recently I have been experiencing a problem with my car starting. The first thing I notice, when the problem comes up, is the radio and the gear indication LCD, on the instrument cluster, stay on even when I pull the key out of the ignition and open the door. I know it is normal for the radio to remain on after the car is turned off and the key is pulled out, but it is supposed to turn off when the door is opened. When this happens, I put the key in the ignition and turn it, but nothing happens. No clicking from the starter or anything. I do not believe it is the starter because the other things, such as the radio not functioning properly, lead me to believe it is a different problem other than the starter. This problem doesn't happen all the time. Any ideas of what could be causing this or any ideas for troubleshooting would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

Re: 03 Impala LS not starting

Sounds like a bad ign switch, not the key cyl. but the switch itself.
