2008 steering wheel shake

I have had my 08 crew cab back to the dealer I bought it off of 3 times with a list of issues to be fixed and while that list did get whittled down eventually I still have a persistant steering wheel shake at highway crusing speeds (60-70 mph).The tires have been rebalanced supposedly twice,once for sure on Friday,and the rotors and pads were replaced also Friday to cure a brake shudder.I asked a mechanic friend yesterday about what might still be causing this and he asked if the tires were rotated,I said not that I know of but he also said with the air pressure monitors in the wheels he wasn't sure if it would throw off the sensors or at least the locators.
I'm getting increasingly frustrated with the shake for starters and the dealer for not being able to cure it.Each time I have to take it in it's mileage on the truck plus gas I would like to have for another purpose.What else should I be looking at for a possible cause of the steering wheel shake?CV shaft?Drive shaft out of balance?Bent rim?

fisrt off what is this vehicle exactly ? give all mechanical details 4x4 1500/2500 tire size rims used etc..

my guess now is the tire may have a bubble in it.

even if balanced you will get vibs.

roll tire on flat ground see it it rolls straight.

what type of weights did they use ? I only use stick on weights no hammer on type on rim bead edge.

tire air monitors are a pain . you must master the reset proceedure when rotating tires. if this is 4X4 you must rotate at 10-13,ooomi.

you must have all tires evenly worn. no tire can be new when the other three are more than 50% worn. the closer the tires are on wear the less damage you will do to the drivetrain.

As JcAT said, a little more info on the truck please. Have the tires rotated and see if the vibration is still there. Also, ask your dealer if they measured the "road force" of the tires when they balance them. This will tell them if there is a problem with the tire itself. A tire with excissive road force will cause a vibration, but can still be balanced. Their wheel balance machine should be able to do this.

1500,4x4,new Michelin LTX M/S 2's in December with about 2500kms (1500 mls),stock size 265/65 R18 on aluminum wheels and as far as I know they used stick on weights.
As far as having a vibration even with balanced tires this isn't a vibration,the steering wheel oscillates (shakes ) back and forth enough that you can watch it plus I can feel it in my hand as I hold onto the wheel.
What is the process for re aquainting the sensors after rotating the tires?

Sounds like a tire problem, sometimes even new ones can be bad. Warranty time.

I agree. Swap the fronts to the back and see what happens. Is this truck lifted?

Tire monitor reset should be in your owners manual.

BINGO!

Either a bubble or a broken belt. If rotating the tires makes the shake feel like it's in your seat, you found that it's one of the rear tires.

Well I'll try the rotation trick and see what happens to the shake.I found the procedure in the owners manual for matching the sensors,it doesn't seem to to be too hard to do.
