Side Impact Beams
I own a 1995 Plymouth Voyager and as you may know the 1994-1995 Chrysler Minivans have Side Impact Beams in their doors, but not the 1991-1993s. Thing is I got all my Voyager's doors replaced a few years ago when I had the rust fixed and do not know the vintage of the doors, neither would the mechanic.
If I remove the door panels (I do not know if that is an easy task) can I tell just by looking whether or not these doors have Side Impact Beams? What exactly will I be looking for anyway once the panel is off? All there is on my doors are window cranks which are easy enough to remove. Last edited by Teddie; 02-09-2012 at 03:45 PM. Re: Side Impact Beams
Yes you should be able to see them. Here's a diagram of what you're looking for. Scroll near bottom: http://www.allpar.com/model/m/1994.html
