'01 and '02 Allignment didn't solve the wobble ???
I recently had all 4 tires replaced with studded snows and they were spin balanced. Before I did this I had a bad wobble/shake in the rear tire. (driver side) I figured it was a bad tire and the new tires would fix this. NOT
![]() Anyone of sound mind and body would conclude it is now an allignment problem. I just got back from a dealer where my best buddy works and had the allignment done. It did NOT show anything wrong with a rear tire but one of the front tires were slightly off. I left there and wouldn't you know it, the shake/wobble is still there. It only happens between 40 and 48 mph. It is pretty bad when it does occur. It doesn't happen when I'm accelerating through 45 quickly, just when your doing normal driving. Since most speed limits are 40 to 55, it is pretty annoying. Anyone have any suggestions as to what else could be causing this shake/wobble. It doesn't do it over 50 or under 40. Thanks in advance. ![]() Rob |

Re: '01 and '02 Allignment didn't solve the wobble ???
Alignment will not cause a wobble feel, if you are sure all the tires are running true, check the wheel runout, you may have a bent wheel. Shocks are ok?

Shocks aren't new but not a problem. The tires were just put on and spin balanaced. I'm having them re-checked Saturday. If a rim was bent, wouldn't that cause the balance to be off?? Thanks

Yes and no. I have seen bent wheels balanced before. Do you feel the wobble at all at slow speeds? Does it change if the wheels are rotated ft to back?

To have A balance and not get it right is not that uncommon. I'd not worry until after the rebalance.
I had a bent wheel and after I got a new one, I couldn't remember which one it was. They all balance out fine, so yes, you can balance a bent wheel. Chris.

A bent wheel may balance, but it can cause a wobble that can be felt....

Even though it's balanced, it's still bent.
