Timing chain

93 GMC 5.7 , what are the signs that say the timing chain should be replaced?

You really need to inspect it. To my knowledge, there isn't really any trouble indicators that tell you the timing chain needs replacing. How many miles?

I've got a 98 with only 40,ooo and mine was a little sloppy. Then again, it does a lot of idling...
