Compression Specs for my 720

Folks,

Wondering if anyone knows the compression specs for my 1979.6, Datsun 720 or where I can find them. Engine is a Z18, which is odd, since most came with a Z20, however, my guess is that the specifications are similar.

Any thoughts or info out there? No manuals available in my neck of the woods.

Lastly, specs on the ignition point gap would be helpful as well.

Thanks to all for your help on various threads posted,

G2L

Re: Compression Specs for my 720

I do not know those numbers off the top of my head . But you should be able to get that info directly from nissan ..

Either a nissan dealer or nissan parts counter..

Compression check as long as you are getting over 100 all across the board u should be good .. The actaul numbers will be 125 and higher but they need to be close to each other..

The points .. If all else fails just use the back of a match book cover to set them..

Thanks for the tips. I've got a good feeler gauge, but that matchbook trick sure is one to keep in your back pocket (pun intended). Thanks for all your help,
