Oil plug stripped....

I just went to change the oil on my vehicle and it appears the drain bolt is stripped. I try to loosen or tighten it and it just keeps spinning.
Am I looking at getting a new pan?

Maybe not, they make single and double oversize self tapping drain plugs, get vice grips on the old one and pull down gently as you turn it.

Ok tried this method and also trying to stick a flat head inbetween to gently give it some pressure but nothing has worked.
Any other ideas?

Never had one I could'nt get out using either method, no more gently have at it.
