85 300zx
My dad's friend is sellin his 85' 300ZX turbo for 500 bucks. The car is in pretty good shape, like it starts and all, and the leather seats are NICE! But it has 185,000 miles on it. I realize this is ALOT of miles to put on a turbo, and I just wanna know if it will turn into a money pit after I buy it.

I hope you bought it
If it's any good at all that's a good price. Yo can do a lot with a z31 turbo in terms of performance but you have to be willing to improvise because there isn't much in the way of aftermarket parts available. You can push 300-400 hp without spending a lot of money.

Actually, the guy still has it. He hasn't really ben trying to sell it, but I told my dad to ask, and he said 500 dollars if I wanted it. So I can still get it.

Jump on that thing man... Even if a turbo goes out on it. Its all the better reason to get a little bigger one. If been looking all over for one. The cheapest I can find is about $2500-$3000, so it sounds like a pretty good deal to me.

you can just drop a bigger turbo onto those motors......they areant designed for it....plus they are so old they will blow.....its gonna cost like 4g's just to rebuild the motor.
