300zx Convertible to 300zx turbo?

Ok, here is the deal. I got the 300zx Convertible thinking it was turbocharged then I realized I should have gotten the 300zx Turbo kit. So I was wondering is it possible to convert the 300zx Convertible to a turbo eninge? Do all the peices from the turbo kit fit right onto the convertible kit? I might have my local hobby shop order me the peices I need. I know I need the headers, turbos, and possibly the exhaust right? If any one has the instructions to the 300zx turbo kit can you scan and email me the engine assembly section and the exhaust assembly section? Thanks in advance.

Are both the turbo kit and convertible kit made by the same company? If so, then the parst will almost definitly fit. They usually try to make parts interchangeable for all of the kits of the same car so they can cut down on production costs. Even if it won't fit though, it's not hard to adapt things and be creative. I stick 1/24 revell parts on 1/25 AMT cars/trucks all the time.

The turbo's should fit the convertible easily ,it's the same engine minus the tubo's.(P.S. the convertible even in real life never came with the TT package.)

The kit(s) are Tamiya. Has anyone built the 300zx turbo before? I need the instructions so I know what parts to order from Tamiya Canada. I know I need the headers, turbos, intercooler, pipes, what else? Anyone with the instructions still? If so, let me know if you can scan me part and/or the whole thing. Thanks in adavance

Hmm... rather than flood the board, how about you try and find someone with the kit? Like maybe someone who's done it and has it in the Gallery and is an active member on this board? Then maybe you could Private Message that person?

Just a thought... :right:
