eclipse oil problems ~help~!
i recently bought a auto 2000 eclipse rs 2.4L 4 cylinder off someone and unfortunately it has had quite a few problems. first the check engine light cause of a bad o2 sensor(i replaced the check engine light is gone.) then my exhuast rusted in half (had to get it welded 200$)....now my oil light keeps coming on when i idle it useually drops around 500-700 and my oil light comes on but once i start driving it goes off i need some help cause im no mechanic and i have no idea what to do.

Well, I'm not stupid. That is the first thing that I checked. I think that I've got it figured out. But thanks anyways.

It's normal to have lower oil pressure at an idle, but the oil light coming on would be an indication of the oil pressure sending unit. Perhaps you could try replacing it first to see if your oil light woes continue or not. If it is a bad sending unit, perhaps your oil pressure readings are also off from what you are seeing now.
