finished up this Revell kit. really nice kit to build.

painted with hunter green. the wood panels are made using oil paints. and all the weathering is done with oils.

This model looks excellent; the weathering gives it a level of realism that looks great.

Re: 1948 Ford Woody

That looks like an Action Comics #1 - 'introduction of Superman' on the seat. That would have been 10 years old in 1948 and in, what appears to be, excellent condition. Already a collector's item and just laying on the back seat with a bunch of greasy french fries lying near by. The horror, the horror! McDonald's didn't open until 1955 and I'm pretty sure they weren't using those french fry cartons then. I remember when the signs used to count the number of hamburgers sold in the 100,000s. I used to think "Someday that's going to say 1,000,000 sold!!!!" Anyway, back to the comic, which is probably more like 30+ years old in your build.

Oh yeah, the build looks great. ;-)

Is the comic on the floor a Superman #1?

Re: 1948 Ford Woody

I'm always looking forward to seeing one of your builds.
Your attention for all the small details, like the weathered chassis, the used interior. It's just spot on, as always.

The subject isn't quite to my taste, but your skills totally are!!!
