E350 Sway Bar Bushings
How do I remove the sway bar bushings on a 2003 E350 Ford Van cutaway. The rubber in each bushing is almost gone and my steering wheel shakes when braking. Can they be hammered out and the new ones hammered in? They're only $10 for the pair. Any help appreciated.

Re: E350 Sway Bar Bushings
The shaking steering wheel is bad brake rotors. Unfortunately, it is very common on these vans. The bushings are also very common. I use an air chisel to get the bushing shells out, and then replace them with RAYBESTOS polyurethane bushings. They do not use the metal shells like the old ones do. I have E- 350's, and 450's at my job that are pushing close to 400,000 miles, and the RAYBESTOS bushings are still holding strong.
