Re: Fujimi 1/16 Countach??

I can't comment on the 1/16 Countach as I have only the 1/24 version. But I own both 1/24 and 1/16 288GTO and 512BB. The 288GTO is slightly different between the two scales, in a good way. Based on the number of parts and personal impression, I think the 1/16 version is better.

However 512BB is a different story. The 1/16 version is not as good as 1/24 as the engine is designed to be motorized and therefore some details are incorrect.

All I'm saying is that the 1/16 is not a direct scale-up of 1/24, at least for 288GTO and 512BB. Hope this help.

It's a great kit. A bit like a large scale Enthusiast Series kit.

Re: Fujimi 1/16 Countach??

I built two of them many years ago.
The window frames are fragile, handle them with extra care.
The engine cover wouldn't fully close without some adjusting/trimming of the carbs. Not too difficult, but frustrating not knowing until the body was installed to the chassis.
If you are doing it as a curbside, you can just leave off the carbs and the engine cover will fit OK.
