Fan

I got a 98 cavalier with the 2.2 and the radiator fan refuses to turn on. Doesn't turn on with the A/C either. If you disconnect the the sensor on the coolant bypass pipe, the fan will turn on. Replaced the sensor and it still doesn't work. I'm out of ideas.

Tried searching and found many similar threads but they all had dead ends.

Re: Fan

Is the car overheating? What is your temp gage doing?

May not come on with A/C, if the A/C is not working(does the clutch engage when you turn A/C on?)....

Any codes?

Re: Fan

I'm going to guess his A/C does not work. The car overheats, pegs the gauge and he has to pull over.
