bad transmision leak.
hello, i have a 1981 chev silverado 2wd. i just put a new transmission 350 turbo and when i started it. it would spray fluid from backside of torque converter. so i put a new seal in it and then it still did the same thing. oh ya and i put a different torque converter in it. does anyone know what this could possibly be im getting so sick of taking the tranny in and out.thanks

Bad/wrong convertor, pump seal bad, not the hub seal but the pump body seal?

Re: bad transmision leak.
you need to check the bushing behind the seal,,,,may be loose and conacting the seal causing it to leak,,,,,,should check it running ,,,,possible that pump to case o ring seal leaking,,,,,,,or is oil running out from pump seal,,,pump seal will be higher inside case leak will be lower around housing
