93 PA hood wont open

Hello. Hood wont open. Nothing when I pull the cable. Also. I can't get the grill off. A couple of the screws just wont move. PLease help and thanks.

Does the cable "feel" like it is broken? If not, have someone repeatedly pull on the cable while you use the palm of your hand to strike the area of the latch(don't dent the hood)...if lucky, it will release.......otherwise it gets kind of complicated....

If it opens lube the crap out of the latch....substitute a screwdriver for the hood latch, and have someone pull the cable to check the latch movement and if it releases the screwdriver(hold onto it so it doesn't go flying), BEFORE closing the hood again...

Tech...No luck on the pull and pound. Been hopeing for the "Fonzie" release but not happening. Think I hear something when we pull on the cable from inside, but faint at best.

I had a 1992 Park Ave which did the same thing. Here is what worked for me: after I pulled the hood release lever I walked to the front of the car and lightly banged the hood with my fist near the hood ornament - the hood popped right open.

Maybe you can get access to the latch or cable if you remove the air deflectors underneath the buttom of the car. Or maybe use a metal coat hanger thru the grill. Maybe remove the interior pieces surrounding the hood release lever and get lucky with finding some broken cable to pull on.

The Fonzi trick only works on Chevys...

Tried the coat hanger yesterday. No dice. The hook, even on a sturdy coat hanger, straightened out when I pulled. Next move is drilling out the stubborn screws on the grill. Hope the better access will me out.
