hard shifts with new s. pack

got the new selenoid pack in and juiced up but it shifts a bit hard, especially from 2-3. Also, had to put 3 pints of +4 in and it still doesn't register at the right mark on the stick. i lost almost no fluid during the s.pack exchange, and didn't see any dripping for several months. I wonder if the old s.pack leaking actually pumped out enough fluid to stop dripping on the driveway. I do check it periodically, but this van is driven very little.

So, do I put more fluid in or drive it some more and keep checking it?

fill it to full,,,,,disconnect battery to re-set computer ,,,,driving after re-set should re-learn shift settings,,,, may take a bit of driving........did I mention fill to full????????
