162,000 miles, that's still a young car in my book...as long as there is no rust. Having said that, you will enjoy the Impala much much more...keep both.

Re: 2009 impala ltz purchase

They're no different from the 00-05 Cars. Some people have nothing but trouble but most keep goin for ever. I have 53,000 miles on my 09 LTZ and its doing fine so far. The big concern for the 06+ Models is the Transmissions in the SS. 303 Ponies don't play nice with the 4T65E.

Re: 2009 impala ltz purchase

You could always explore the option of putting the parts in your self. The car SHOULD have the wiring harness all there but you'd have to research/check to be sure. If it is, You would just need to add the Onstart module and possibly an antenna for the bluetooth.

Hi y2kpa2 - Sorry to hear your Impala didn't come standard with OnStar! I do some digital work for OnStar and just wanted to see if I could help. Have you heard of the FMV mirror? Your vehicle is compatible with it if you're interested in going that route. It is also being offered at a special price right now. There's more info on the offer here: onstarconnections(dot)com Let me know if you have any questions about it or the FMV! - Lisa
