According to Cons. Reports the car looks fairly trouble free.

162,000 miles, that's still a young car in my book...as long as there is no rust. Having said that, you will enjoy the Impala much much more...keep both.

Re: 2009 impala ltz purchase
They're no different from the 00-05 Cars. Some people have nothing but trouble but most keep goin for ever. I have 53,000 miles on my 09 LTZ and its doing fine so far. The big concern for the 06+ Models is the Transmissions in the SS. 303 Ponies don't play nice with the 4T65E.

Re: 2009 impala ltz purchase
i bought a 2010 impala and kept the park ave.too nice to give away with the little they would give me for it. 34 k on the clock just learning though it was a fleet car with on star delete so no XM or bluetooth the features i wanted the radio is correct and so are steering wheel controls but without the onstar hardware its all useless
so i am not real pleased bought it from non GM dealer so i guess they did not know the difference. i think GM should not market cars with so called "standard equiptment" with the particular trim level and it not be there. it is the lt

Re: 2009 impala ltz purchase
You could always explore the option of putting the parts in your self. The car SHOULD have the wiring harness all there but you'd have to research/check to be sure. If it is, You would just need to add the Onstart module and possibly an antenna for the bluetooth.
