EBAY SHoPPERS

I remember seeing a few people with complaints bout helensprint aka many other name who sells tamiya models really cheap but he runs a scam etc. Well I was going through ebay and I saw the seller heiheihei999 guess what he is back with a different look. Some of you will know that when he was selling he always used the same box shot for the pictures well he changed it a little. So be warn even though he sells them cheap the shipping charges will kill you and the way he ship his stuff is crap.

Just thought I let you guys know.

Did you buy from this guy before and had a bad experience? You do realize he's shipping the packages from Hong Kong and if you live in the states that can be pricey. He appears to have a fairly good feedback with the exception of 9 negatives and 7 of those appear to be from a dead beat bidder anyways. I was going to pick up 7 kits from him but just didn't get around to doing it yet. At his prices even with shipping included it's still a lot cheaper then buying them else where online (especially if you're buying 5+ kits). I am hesitant now after seeing your post.

I ordered three kits and recieved all three. You can also ask him to do an "outside of ebay" sale and he'll knock off some $$

I remember someone on this board saying that mopshipnk... something like that was also a rip off seller. We'll I spend around $300 with him on my first purchase with him. I had to get a refund on paypal and pay him on his friends account because of some problems he was having with his own account. Well after around 2 months I started to worry and a few days later i recieved all the items. Perfectly packed in a huge box.

He was a honest guy but he lacked some business and organization skills.

Anyways, My 2 cents

well I never ordered from him because I was warned by other people. Also I understand the shipping charges from HK is expensive but I once won 3 kits from him and he charged me 15 bucks for each model that is riddiculous. Also when he gets enough complains he changed his nickname and start all over again. Ebay has banned him a few times and this is how he gets around it. So i am just warning people sometimes if a deal seems too good to be true it usually is. I rather stick with well known ebay seller.

Have you guys ever tried to ship something overseas ? Its expensive to begin with and shipping and "odd" shape costs more than an envelope. Most of the items he sells are around $20 with shipping so I don't see the big deal.

Most Ebay sellers charge from $6-$8 to ship within the US, THATS A RIP OFF. heiheihei999, shipping charges are about $2 more than that and he's in HK !

I bought 4 kits from him in the beginning, when he was called Sanxler.
Cheap kits, payed $5 to $10 per kit, and shipping costs where also good.
Had to email him more than I can count, but in the end I got my models, beaten up like (&^%$.
Took 3 or 4 months to complete the transaction.

He says he forgets things very fast. He's a bit messed up in the head, can't remember who bought which model.

Seems as if he still uses the same way of packaging, which results into cracked and badly bent parts. Plain brown or green paper around the box which comes with the model.

Mainomega well either way I rather pay a little more to get my stuff here fast and not damaged. Also you may be the few lucky ones that was okay with the stuff he sells. But I guarentee that sooner or later he will change nick again because of many complaints.

Hey I use to live at buffalo grove. I live on Johnson drive by the buffalo golf course where all the apartments are.

I just brought an 1/12 F1 kit from heiheihei999 and he is charging me US$32.20 for shipping the item to Singapore...is that expensive? I just wrote to him to see if he can confirm the shipping charges again.

BTW, how many of you actually check after you received the item the shipping charges of the items is what actually the seller quoted you?

I bought my 180SX DRIFT, you can see the picture in the SG SILVIA MEET. He just simply wrapped it in green wrapping paper and my model came with a cracked roof and rear window I told him not to do that but my second purchase-A Porsche 959 was also sent in wrapping paper..Luckily it came safely.
