What do you ask one or 2 or more times.
When someone comes in for parts?
Like.
Year make and model and engine code and size 2-4W?

If you work at AZ then you should have acess to All Data.
A search on TSB's and recalls may give you the answer.

Re: duramax question

i tried all of that and got nothing. i don't remember the year of the trucks at the moment. i have never seen something like this before. the pulley was actually spun off of the shaft. when we tried to put it on a new pump all i had to do was tap it witht the palm of my hand and it went on with out needing the install tool.

If the pulley came off for no reason just get a replacement pulley.
If it spun off from improper alignment or pump problems.
Fix that end along with a new pulley.

Re: duramax question

If you can get years I can look up TSB's and Recalls and know problems on them.

Re: duramax question

Fire up your AZ parts machine.
My AZ Parts web site shows Dorman all steel replacement pulleys for some modles.
Dorman makes a lot of problem solver parts.

Re: duramax question

thank you all for your help on this. yes we can get the pulley. i am trying to get some info and see if anyone else has had the same problem or have heard of this happening so i can let my customers know so they aren't caught by suprise while driving down the road. and it's kind of new to me i have seen pumps wera out and pelleys break but have never seen one do this before. as they say you never stop learning something new. i think the trucks were between 2000-2004.
