Window Regulator

OK. . . Time for my new problem. 02 Focus Sedan with power windows. The rear drivers window kept sliding down. I ordered an aftermarket regulator (mistake) on Ebay. I noticed the triangular, white clip that holds the glass to the regulator had been broken. I figured this was the problem. Since I found the regualtor with the motor for only $45 I decided to buy it. Got the new regulator and noticed I could not use it because it had a different wiring harness on it. I tried to swap motors but realized the mounting brackets were different and it would not work. Destroyed the new regulator so I could loosen the cable enough to get the glass holder clip. Installed the new clip onto the old regulator, then installed the regulator into the car. Attatched the glass, hooked the wiring back into the motor and hit the button. The only thing that happened was the motor would click once every time I hit the button. My question is what the hell is wrong now? Is the motor burnt out or do the cables need to be replaced? Any help is greatly appreciated!
