Interior Door Lights Staying On

I have come across an electrical problem that has me baffled. I have an '02 Jetta TDI, when I came home last night I noticed that the lights for the electric window/ fuel release switch/gas door release, were illuminated on the drivers side door ONLY. My headlight switch was in the off position. I removed the headlight switch and disconnected and lights still stayed illuminated. I have no idea what to do next, does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks

Re: Interior Door Lights Staying On

I would start by checking the contact's within the door jam and fuel door and make sure they are still intact. It's possible it's stuck and/or broken off completely.
