2004 4dr 4wd misfiring (I think)

2004 Blazer runs ruff worse when I am accelerating. At first thought it was a block catalytic but took it to a shop and they said that it was fine and that it was a misfire. Wanted to get some more opinions before I spend a day in the Nevada heat doing a tune up. Also there are no engine codes.
